About Basket Filters
An industrial basket filter (also known as a basket strainer) is a heavy-duty pressure vessel housing designed to remove large quantities of solid particulates, debris, and pipe scale from high-volume fluid lines.

Key Architectural Components
- Inlet & Outlet Flanges: The fluid enters from the left-side flange (
INLET), passes directly through the internal basket, and exits through the right-side flange (OUTLET). These are industrial flanged connections designed to bolt directly into main pipelines. - Perforated Strainer Basket: The central, slanted cylinder is the core filter element. Fluid flows from the inside of this basket to the outside. Heavy debris is trapped inside the bottom of the basket, preventing it from migrating downstream.
- Quick-Opening Swing Bolt Cover: The top lid is secured with heavy-duty swing bolts and a central lifting eye. This design allows maintenance teams to quickly open the vessel, lift the basket out by its handle, clean out the trapped sludge, and slide it back in without using specialized tools.
- Drain Plug: Located at the absolute bottom right of the housing base. It allows complete drainage of the chamber's liquid contents before opening the lid for servicing, ensuring an environmentally safe and spill-free maintenance cycle.
