• Primary Duty: Removes dry solid contaminants like iron sulfides, black powder, pipeline rust, sand, and welding scales.
• Mechanics: Gas flows through depth-type filter cartridges from the outside-in, providing maximum surface area contact to secure high dirt-holding capabilities. 
• Media Types: Most commonly built with economical fiberglass cores, pleated polypropylene, or pleated polyester sheets to handle high solids loading with low pressure drop. 

• Primary Duty: Extracts liquid contaminants like water aerosols, glycol, condensed hydrocarbons, and compressor lube oils.
• Mechanics: Employs an inside-out flow matrix. As wet gas passes through the micro-fiber element layers, microscopic liquid mist droplets collide, agglomerate (coalesce) into heavy drops, and fall via gravity into an isolated collection sump.
• Media Types: Hydrophobic borosilicate glass fibers or advanced fluoropolymer-coated synthetic blends to resist wetting out. 

• Pressure Reduction & Metering Stations (PRMS): Protects downstream flow meters, control valves, and high-precision regulators from abrasive particles. [1]
• Compressor Stations: Installed on the inlet to block fouling solids from entering compressor cylinders, and on the outlet to recover entrained lube oil. 
• Gas Dehydration Units: Shields glycol and amine sweetening arrays from foaming caused by particulate interaction. 

• Pipeline & Commercial Components: Compact 1/2" to 2" threaded or flanged gas filters (often featuring cast iron/aluminum shells and brass meshes) typically range from 5,000 to 15,000 via regional dealers on platforms like Pune Gas and Tradeindia.
• High-Efficiency Replacements: Specialized 0.2-micron natural gas filter element modules range from 1,000 to 2,500 depending on the sizing configuration.
